Foods That You MUST Buy Organic
The following foods, if bought conventional, have the highest pesticide content:
*Peaches (one of the worst)
*Strawberries
*Raspberries
*Blueberries
*Cherries
*Apples
*Grapes and Raisins (especially if from Chile--one of the worst)
*Nectarines
*Pears
*Apricots
*Lemons and Limes
*Bananas (sprayed with neurotoxic chemicals during transit)
*Corn (most of which is GM/GE, too)
*Potatoes
*Cucumbers
*Tomatoes
*Celery
*Spinach
*Lettuce
*Green and Red Bell Peppers
*Green Beans (one of the worst)
*Carrots
*Squashes
*Rice
*Oats
*Soy (nearly all soy is GM, and even organic soy should be limited)
*Coffee
Meat, milk and eggs are also very important. If not affordable, then cut back meat consumption to maybe a few times a week or less. I would NEVER buy and consume non-organic eggs. I don't like to even drink milk that is labeled organic, if it is homogenized, and I suggest you don't, either. Try to find someone from whom to buy raw organic milk. This is difficult, and the law in most of the states of the U.S. make it illegal for people to sell raw milk, especially cow's milk. BUT, you can tell the person you're buying it for your animals. If you feel wrong about doing that, then you're better off just cutting milk out of your diet. The VERY best, of course, is to own your own cow. You can also use non-dairy organic milks, like hemp, almond, rice or soy (limit soy consumption, and ONLY buy organic soy).
Some things that are pretty safe non-organic include broccoli, asparagus, and green peas.
